Farmer's Market and Children's Day

Today was Children's Day in South Korea and it was also the day for the farmer's market! Children's Day is all about the kids. It's kind of like Mother's and Father's day in America. The school was holding a celebration and they had face painting, balloon animals, puppets and more. They also had this on Sunday for the people that couldn't make it today. Josh had to work on Sunday but today he got the day off, so we went out and had some fun!

On Sunday I took Gabriel around and he got his face painted and a tattoo on his forehead. He didn't stay very still so the circles ended up lopsided and choppy...
Mommy and Daddy were also bad and gave Gabriel a taste of ice cream...
Today Gabriel was very excited to go out and discover everything...
Josh and I took Gabriel around the school and he got to see everything that was going on...
We also took him into town and went to the farmer's market...
This is some of the most disgusting fish I have ever seen and it was just sitting out like all the fish here and had big honkin' flies sitting all over it...
Some more stuff one of the farmers was selling...
Mommy and Daddy were bad again and gave Gabriel a taste of ice cream... he thought it was pretty fantastic...
It was a fun day and it was very hot out! Well, it wasn't that awful but we're from Minnesota and we are defiantly not used to 80+ degree weather! It was nice for Josh to have a day off in the middle of the week so we could have some fun!

Ugh. I definitely don't like the foreign country put meat, especially fish, out on a table with no refrigeration thing...it grosses me out and totally smells bad.

I love the picture of Gabe smiling :) He looks so happy!
