Laundry?

Hmmm.... should I do the white load or the dark load first?
I just can't decide... what do you think?
Light or dark...
The dark is VERY dirty... but there is more of the white stuff...
hmm....

Gabers!

I love trying to teach Gabriel things. It is so much fun and Gabriel is, of course, so incredibly cute! Gabriel is a true boy all the way. His goal is to seek and destroy everything and anything! It's fun to place things around the apartment for him, like toys lined up, because when he sees them he gets super excited and then will go along wherever you have to toys lined up and throw them up in the air behind him until they are all gone and then find his next thing to demolish!

I've been trying to get him to say a few more words lately. Sadly, he has absolutely no interest:) I don't mind though! I will say "Gabriel, can you say 'ball'" and Gabriel will look at me forever as I continue to say the word until he gets a big smile on his face, giggles, and then runs away! haha! The closest he ever gets is you might see his lips move just a little bit but it still will result in him running away along the walls and couch after he smiles and giggles at your attempt!

Gabriel is getting better at walking though! He is letting go of things more and more testing his balance, sometimes he just stands there, not holding on to anything, until he realizes that nothing is supporting him and then he will freak out and desperately grasp the closest thing in his reach! He is also an expert at climbing stairs! He doesn't get the chance very often but when he does he crawls up them so fast I'm amazed!

Lastly, Gabriel finally crawls! YAY!!!! He still resorts to his belly wiggle quite often but more and more he is finding out that using his hands and knees really is the faster option! I'm happy because I really love the crawling stage, I think it's so cute, and I was afraid that I would miss it. I'm sure it's not going to last very long though, he is ever so close to walking!

Gross!

On Saturday morning I was so tired that after Gabe took his morning nap I had to take a nap myself! Josh volunteered to take Gabe so I could get some sleep, what a sweet hubby I have! So before I took my nap I went to the restroom... apparently on my way out I did not close the door all the way. So Gabriel, who is never allowed in the bathroom, decided to take full advantage of the open door and snuck in while Daddy wasn't paying attention! Josh then found Gabe standing next to the toilet swishing his hands in the water... EWWWW!!!! Gross!!! Hopefully it never happens again!

blast from the past

Today I was in the mood for some shake your booty music. So I was looking through some songs on my iTunes and I came across the song 'Ooh Aah' by Grits. Let me tell you, total blast from the past for me! I totally forgot that I had this on my computer! For old times sake I decided to play it. I think visions of my mom and brothers, listening to it extremely loud in our living room started to flash through my head. My brother Nathan pretending to be a rapper, doing the whole hand gestures things and getting all in my face while my mom was doing her dance thing and Christopher going 'ow' 'yeah'  in his dance/rapper-ness voice and my sister and I sitting there trying to read our books while Nathan poked us during his rapper-ness! My sisters know what I'm talking about! LOL! I added it to my blog (just for a little bit) just so you could listen to it, don't you feel special? Ok, ok, so if you want to turn it off just go down to the very bottom of the page and hit the pause button. I promise, it will only be on my page for a day or so!

Gabers thought the music was pretty fun, he started giggling when I turned it on. So I decided to do, as my niece, Tryn, calls it, a dance party! Gabers and I danced in our living room to good ol' fashion Grits music! Haha! Gabe thought it was fun. After all, what's life like without dance parties now and then? Though I do have to say, Gabriel prefers to dance to 'Sway' by Michael Buble... maybe it's because Mama has better "moves" with that one... you know, since I'm such a good dancer and all... ahem... I put that one on my blog too, right after the Grits one!

Mr. Piggy

I think I have a new nickname for Gabriel, Mr. Piggy! Gabers eats A LOT!!! Surprisingly he is still small for his age, I swear he has been at 19 pounds for forever... he just gets a tiny bit taller each month.

For breakfast, for about the last month or two, he has been eating an adult size yogurt and an entire adult size serving of oatmeal every morning! Well the last few mornings he seems to want even more! So this morning I decided to try two packets of adult size oatmeal and his yogurt, just to see how much he would eat... he almost ate the whole thing! Piggy =D And this is still after breast feeding in the morning too! I think he only had about two tablespoons left in the bowl before he was done! I think I'm going to have to find something else for him though, that's a lot of oatmeal... maybe yogurt, oatmeal and a banana when I have them or something else.

For lunch and for dinner he always has two vegetables and 1-2 fruits, as in baby size containers of food! Then he is still not finished, nope, little Mr. Piggy then goes to Mommy and Daddies plates and mooches off of us for more food! He always eats my food, and then he gets mad when he doesn't get any more! Oh, and don't forget about the afternoon snack! LOL! It's super cute when he eats a lot though, his little belly gets big and sticks out when he plays! Mr. Piggy is his name!
